It is an exciting summer month at our home with overflowing energy and never-ending tugs-of-war! BarkBox, the best dog subscription box in the U.S, is always there to boost our energy levels. We are regular subscribers to the BarkBox dog subscription box service and we are in love with it with each passing month. We are proud parents of 2-year-old Daschund, Max. He is a little bundle of fur and energy, who keeps us on the run with his tactics and tricks. Our commitment in wanting to provide him with only the best care has made us subscribe to BarkBox service. They have excellent quality in their service and products, which is what we love, That being said, let’s get to the BarkBox for Small Dog May 2018 review.
Are you new to BarkBox service? You may like to know more…
BarkBox is a monthly dog subscription box that ships to U.S and Canada. It is priced at $29 per month and $19 per month for an annual subscription. You are given the option to alter your subscription plan, cancel it or stop it anytime. Each month the subscription box shipped will contain dog treats, toys, dog grooming products, dog chews, etc. All the products sent in the box are made either in the U.S or Canada. BarkBox sends quality products alone that comes with a fair warning regarding allergies and complete description of the ingredients and contents in the pack.
The best part of BarkBox is that you can customize your order based size of your dog. You can make the choices from ‘Small and Cute’ (0-20 pounds), ‘Just Right’ (20-50 pounds), and ‘Big and Bold’ (50+ pounds). This size preference allows you to receive treats and toys that will match your dog’s size and strength. If your energy bundle is a heavy chewer, you can specify that as well! For such persistent teeth, they have the exclusive BarkBox Super Chewer Boxes. They come as ‘Small but Mighty’ (0 to 20 pounds), ‘Middle Weight’ (20 to 50 pounds), and ‘Large and in Charge’ (50 plus pounds). This box type will send your pet the toys that challenge their teeth and time. Additionally, every month highlights a theme and all the goodies sent are centered on it. Tempting to try them, aren’t they? I would say you should! And BarkBox dog subscription service will not disappoint you.
May 2018 BarkBox for Small Dog Subscription Box
This month’s theme was Age of the Furaoh. The May 2018 BarkBox for Small Dog contained two toys, two bags of treats, and a chew.
Pound Bakery Carob Kahk
Usually, Max (and we) make a dash for the toys to check what cute themed toys have been sent. But this month, we together reached out for the same bag of treats! The Pound Bakery Carob Kahk smells absolutely great (surprisingly like cookies!). It is hand baked and free from wheat, soy, and corn. The product description on the pack says that these are traditional Egyptian dessert made during happy occasions. To suit your dog’s tummy (and even tempt your nose and tongue), these treats are made of oats, flaxseed, honey, vanilla, coconut. Smelled delicious, and I’m sure they tasted great.
Next up was a bag of soft and chewy beef and cheese bites. Max loves all types of meat and beef with cheese is no exception to this rule. We gave him these treats along with his regular meals. The size is just perfect for a small dog and it has the shape of tiny paws.
Emerald Pet Chicky Twizzle
The rawhide chew for this month is chicken based. It is 100% digestible hard chew that is grain-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free. When it comes to rawhide chews we gift it to larger dogs or those dogs without any sensitivity. Max also does not have a sensitive tummy but still, we don’t let him take chances, fearing his size and poor digestion with specific rawhides. But with this one, since it comes with tall claims, we let him give it a try and he is hail and healthy so far! So, a big thumbs up to this one.
Sahara Sam the Camel
The first toy he drew some attention to was this plush and rope toy camel. It is sturdy and convenient to drag around. Max loved it. Moreover, the ropes are made from t-shirt cloth so it will not affect your dog even if they happen to swallow some of it.
A Fetching Falcon Jar
Max loved this better than the camel we thought. This is a water bottle with beads inside. It is perfect as a rattle to make some noise and for a game of fetch. This is also quite sturdy than what we expected it to be and entertaining.
And we have reached the end of the May 2018 BarkBox for Small Dogs review. We find no harm in repeating that every product was a hit last the previous month. Max and we loved the quality of the treats and toys (and the chew as well this month!). Hope you subscribe to BarkBox as well and make fond memories with your dog.
